Jeff Ubersax is a veteran litigator with a history of notable successes at trial and on appeal. Before joining Kushner & Hamed, he was a litigation partner at Jones Day for almost thirty years.
He has particular experience involving commercial contract disputes; domestic and international contract arbitrations; multijurisdictional product liability and toxic tort cases; mineral rights cases (including two oil and gas cases that he argued successfully in the Ohio Supreme Court); environmental litigation; class actions under the federal securities and antitrust laws; and white-collar criminal matters.
He has been recognized for many years by The Best Lawyers in America for his work in Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions, as well as The Legal 500 and The National Law Journal (Top 20 Defense Verdicts of the year).
At law school, Jeff was an Editor and Supreme Court Editor of the Harvard Law Review. He also clerked for Judge William W. Schwarzer, United States District Court, Northern District of California (1982-1983 term).
